Defense Ministry approves Bird of Prey unmanned aerial vehicle complex for AFU combat operations

The Ministry of Defense has codified and adopted the domestically produced Khyzhyi Ptakh (Bird of Prey) unmanned aerial vehicle complex for deployment within the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that engineers created the Bird of Prey unmanned aerial vehicle complex taking into account the analysis of the use of drones in combat operations, it has already proven its effectiveness in destroying armored vehicles and fortified enemy firing positions.

The copters of this complex have increased resistance to operation under the influence of enemy electronic warfare.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March, the Ministry of Defense also codified and approved for deployment within the units of the Defense Forces the WINFLY unmanned aerial vehicle complex of domestic production.

In 2025, the Ministry of Defense plans to purchase 4.5 million FPV drones.

In February, the Ministry of Defense reported that in 2025, more than UAH 44 billion will be allocated for the purchase of FPV drones, including fiber-optic ones.
