Defense Ministry commissions WINFLY drones in Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine the WINFLY unmanned aerial systems of Ukrainian production.

This is stated in the message of the Main Department for the Support of the Life Cycle of Armaments and Military Equipment.

As reported, the WINFLY complex copters are based on frames of several standard sizes.

When designing these UAVs, Ukrainian engineers took into account the recommendations and experience of front-line UAV operators. In particular, certain engineering solutions were applied to increase the safety of crews during combat operations and the resistance of drones to enemy electronic countermeasures.

It is noted that the "birds" of the complexes are fast and maneuver well. They can hit not only field shelters and ground moving enemy targets, but also pursue and destroy enemy reconnaissance drones.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense previously codified and approved for use in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine a domestically produced remote control smoke release system.

The Ministry of Defense also approved for use in units of the Armed Forces Ukrainian-made NORD unmanned aerial systems.
