President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the negotiations in Saudi Arabia and the agreement on a complete ban on strikes on energy infrastructure. According to him, if russia violates the agreement and strikes, it will receive a strong response. He said this in an evening video address.
"We in Ukraine will do everything to make the agreements work and so that there are no strikes. But the Russians must know and must realize: if they strike, they will receive a strong response. And the responsibility will be on them. And if the Russians then tell stories that the strikes were not on energy or civilian infrastructure, everyone will see everything," Zelenskyy said.
He added that now moscow "is demanding something about lifting some of the sanctions, although for three years it has been saying that sanctions are not scary for them and are even useful."
"But if this agreement also does not work, if the Russians do not fulfill the terms of today's agreements and try to put pressure on America, on Europe, on Ukraine again, then I believe there should be only one answer: definitely new sanctions, definitely more pressure," the President added.
Recall that following the results of the US negotiations with Ukraine and the aggressor country russia in Saudi Arabia, all parties agreed to ensure safe shipping in the Black Sea and to introduce a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.
