As of today, there are still over 780 people in settlements across the Oskil River in the Kupiansk District who need to be evacuated.
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on March 25 during the United News national marathon, Suspilne Kharkiv reports.
Thus, the Kupiansk axis for the russian army is currently the most active - the Ukrainian military is repelling attacks by the russians who are trying to advance deep into the Kharkiv Region.
At the same time, the pace of evacuation remains low, the head of the Regional Military Administration noted.
“There are still 783 people behind the Oskil River who we need to evacuate, but the evacuation is going on at a rather slow pace. People are reluctant to leave. In fact, there are those who need to be persuaded, to take measures to prove that their lives and the lives of their loved ones should come first," he noted.
According to Syniehubov, evacuation is also underway from the settlements of the Borove community in the Izium District. More than 1,700 people still remain there.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian occupiers are trying to expand their bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River in the area of Kamianka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking measures to prevent the enemy from achieving success.
