A new explosion occurred at an oil depot in the city of Kropotkin, Krasnodar Krai, that has been burning for two days after an attack by drones. The second explosion occurred due to the depressurization of the tank during extinguishing, as a result of which burning oil products were released. Some of the raw materials fell on the equipment and two specialists who were provided with first aid.
The fire spread to another tank, the total area of the fire reached 10,000 square meters. 456 people and 181 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire. Currently, two tanks and surrounding oil products are burning.
The attack on the oil depot occurred on March 19, when drones hit the territory near the local oil refinery, causing a fire and three explosions. Firefighters have been fighting the fire since then.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a local oil refinery was on fire in Tuapse, russia. It was attacked the day before, on the night of March 14.
On the night of February 13, SSU drones once again struck the Andreapol oil pumping station in the past 2 weeks, which is an important component of the Baltic Pipeline System-2.
