Kyiv and the Kyiv Region were attacked by dozens of russian drones on the night of March 19, no destruction or casualties were recorded in the capital, however, almost 20 private houses were damaged in the Kyiv Region, two people were injured.
This was announced on Telegram by the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration and the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the air alert in Kyiv began at 08:26 pm on March 18 and lasted almost 6 hours.
45 enemy UAVs were recorded on the approaches to Kyiv and in the airspace of the capital.
19 drones were destroyed by air defense units, the rest were lost in location or left the airspace.
"According to preliminary information, there were no injuries or casualties in Kyiv," the report said.
Meanwhile, Kalashnyk reported that two people were injured as a result of the enemy attack in the Bucha district.
"A man born in 1970, a French citizen, diagnosed with multiple superficial wounds and abrasions of both lower limbs, areas of the anterior abdominal wall and areas of both elbow joints, was taken to a local hospital. All necessary medical assistance is being provided. A woman born in 1981 received a situational-neurotic reaction. Medical assistance was provided on the spot," the head of the Regional Military Administration said.
In the Bucha district, 18 private houses, 20 apartments in townhouses, and 19 vehicles were damaged and partially destroyed in three settlements.
2 shops, a restaurant, 7 utility rooms, and 5 garages were also damaged.
Another house was damaged in the Boryspil district.
Grassland fires have been extinguished in the Boryspil, Obukhiv, and Fastiv districts.
Emergency services continue to work to record and eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of March 19, russian Shahed kamikaze drones were spotted in the sky over the Kyiv Кegion, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and the work of air defense forces was heard.
On the night of Monday, March 17, russian terrorists attacked Ukraine with 174 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the following directions: Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Over the past week, air defense destroyed more than 850 air targets.
