On the night of Monday, March 17, russian troops launched 174 attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 90 drones, another 70 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of March 17 (from 7:30 p.m. on March 16), the enemy attacked with 174 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 9 a.m., it has been confirmed that 90 Shahed strike UAVs and other types of drones have been shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Odesa Regions. 70 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the report says.
The russian attack affected the Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 15, the russians launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 178 strike drones into Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 130 drones, and another 38 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
Over the past week, air defenses have destroyed more than 850 air targets.
