On the night of Tuesday, March 18, russian troops launched 137 attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 63 drones, another 64 did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of March 18 (from 7 p.m. on March 17), the enemy attacked with 137 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all – russian federation).
"As of 9 a.m., it has been confirmed that 63 Shahed attack drones and drones of other types have been shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson Regions. 64 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
The Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy Regions were affected by the russian attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 17, the russians launched 174 attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 90 drones, another 70 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
