Currently, air defense forces are represented in almost all units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, so not only the Air Forces are engaged in the destruction of enemy strike drones.
The head of the Air Forces Communications Department Yurii Ihnat stated this in a comment to Noviny.LIVE.
"First of all, it is necessary to predict the enemy's attack, what routes it is going to use. Intelligence means and other sources are already involved here to understand which objects it is trying to hit at one time or another. Therefore, the Defense Forces analyze this information, and the Air Forces, accordingly, use this weaponry. Not only the Air Forces, because the work on "Shaheds" is a common achievement of all Defense Forces," he noted.
According to Ihnat, now air defense is represented in one way or another practically everywhere.
He added that the Air Forces manage this entire process in the unified air defense system of the state, but everyone joins in these night attacks, up to the shooting down.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, over the past week, air defense destroyed more than 850 air targets.
On the night of Monday, March 17, russian terrorists attacked Ukraine with 174 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
