Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will pay a working visit to India from March 17 to 19, the key topics of the talks will be advancing just peace in Ukraine and India's role in this process.
This is stated in the Foreign Ministry's statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Bilateral talks between the Ukrainian Foreign Minister and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and other senior Indian officials are planned in New Delhi.
It is noted that the main purpose of the visit will be the minister's participation in one of Asia's largest geopolitical forums, the Raisina Dialogue.
On the sidelines of the conference, Sybiha will hold bilateral meetings with the heads of foreign ministries of a number of countries in South and Southeast Asia and Africa.
As part of the visit, the minister will also visit Mumbai, where he will hold a number of meetings aimed at expanding interregional economic cooperation between Ukraine and India, and will participate as the chief guest of a special Ukrainian-Indian business forum.
"The key topics of the negotiations will be the advancement of a just peace in Ukraine and India's role in this process, the development of bilateral Ukrainian-Indian cooperation, and the strengthening of Ukraine's ties with the states of the Indo-Pacific region," the report says.
In addition, the focus of the meetings will be the expansion of Ukraine's diplomatic presence in the South Asian region, the expansion of trade, and the entry of Ukrainian exporters into additional Asian markets.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kyiv on August 23, 2024, on the National Flag Day of Ukraine.
In a joint statement by Ukraine and India following Modi's visit to Ukraine, the parties noted that Ukraine and India want to develop a strategic partnership, and India is also ready to contribute to the return of peace.
