National Police name three versions of murder of activist Hanul: they do not exclude russian trace

Law enforcement officers are considering three main versions of the murder of activist Demyan Hanul in Odesa. The police do not exclude the involvement of russia.

This was announced by the Deputy Head of the National Police, Andrii Nebytov, on the air of a telethon.

"We are considering three main versions. First of all, this is, of course, a contract murder committed in connection with the professional and public activities of the victim. We are also considering the version, we do not rule out, that this murder was committed in connection with personal enmity," Nebytov said.

According to him, the investigation also does not rule out the possibility that russia is involved in the murder of Hanul, since the activist had an active pro-Ukrainian position.

"Of course, we are considering the russian trace, because we know that this person was known for his pro-Ukrainian position," the Deputy Head of the National Police said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, activist Demyan Hanul was killed in the center of Odesa on the morning of March 14. As is known, the attacker shot the activist and fled the scene. The police responded promptly. Additional law enforcement teams were sent to Odesa, and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko took control of the case.
