President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed to establish all circumstances of the murder of Odesa activist Demyan Hanul.
Zelenskyy reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Minister of Interior Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko has just reported on the detention in Odesa of a suspect in the murder of Demyan Hanul. Dozens of investigators, operatives, and criminologists are involved in solving this crime. All circumstances of its commission are being clarified. I instructed the Minister of Interior Affairs of Ukraine, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Acting Prosecutor General to mobilize all necessary forces and means to establish all facts," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of March 14, pro-Ukrainian activist and volunteer Demyan Hanul was shot dead in the center of Odesa.
The police qualified the murder of the Odesa activist as committed to order.
Minister of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced at around 4:00 p.m. that the man suspected of murdering Odesa activist Hanul had been detained.
