A man suspected of killing Odesa activist Demyan Hanul has been detained.
Minister of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Odesa: a man suspected of killing an activist has been detained. A weapon was found in the apartment where he was hiding, with which the crime was probably committed," he said.
Klymenko thanked everyone who made efforts to identify and detain the alleged shooter. He promised details from the police later.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of March 14, pro-Ukrainian activist and volunteer Demyan Hanul was shot dead in the center of Odesa.
The police qualified the murder of the Odesa activist as committed to order.
