US President Donald Trump said that he allegedly appealed to russian dictator vladimir putin regarding the Ukrainian Defense Forces grouping located in the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of russia.
The US President wrote about this on his page on the social network Truth Social.
According to Trump, yesterday, March 13, the United States held a "very good and productive" meeting with the russian dictator. He believes that there is every chance that the war will finally end.
"But at this very moment, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are completely surrounded by the Russian military, and in a very bad and vulnerable position," Trump wrote.
He added that he allegedly appealed to putin with a "strong request to spare their lives."
Trump wrote that this would allegedly "be a horrible massacre, one not seen since World War II."

The US President did not specify where he got the information about the alleged complete encirclement of the Ukrainian group in the Kursk Oblast.
According to the Ukrainian analytical project DeepState, as of the morning of March 14, the approximate line of combat contact on this section of the front looks like this.
The DeepState interactive map shows that the distance between the left and right flanks of the Ukrainian group at the narrowest point is over 9 kilometers.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 12, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the russian army is conducting assaults in the Kursk Oblast in order to transfer the zone of active combat operations to the border areas of the Sumy Region.
And on March 10, Syrskyi stated that there is no threat of encirclement of units of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk Oblast.
