Russian dictator vladimir putin may agree to a 30-day ceasefire, which involves a ceasefire along the entire front line. However, before that, he will probably try to demand that Ukraine stop receiving Western military aid.
Bloomberg reported this with reference to its own sources.
One of the agency’s interlocutors said on condition of anonymity that putin will probably demand a halt to arms supplies to Ukraine as a prerequisite for a ceasefire.
Another source said that for this purpose, the russian dictator will most likely drag out time as much as possible so that his position is taken into account.
The agency notes that, according to its data, the US did not raise the issue of introducing a temporary ceasefire during negotiations with the russians. This first became known after the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Jeddah on March 11.
This led to moscow finding the idea of a 30-day ceasefire unacceptable.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 11, negotiations between Ukraine and the United States took place in Saudi Arabia. The Ukrainian side expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to introduce a 30-day ceasefire.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a possible temporary ceasefire involves a ceasefire on the front line, and not only at sea and in the sky.
As a reminder, the Office of the President of Ukraine said what Ukraine intends to do if russia refuses to introduce a 30-day ceasefire.
