The Kyiv Defense Council has allowed traffic on the Southern Bridge from the left to the right bank.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"After consultations with the military, the Kyiv Defense Council has allowed traffic on the Southern Bridge from the left to the right bank. Traffic on the Southern Bridge from the right to the left bank will remain closed for the time being, except for the passage for emergency services, public transport, military vehicles, and transit freight transport," he said.
Klitschko also reported that restrictions on vehicle traffic will be partially lifted during the air alert on the Podilskyi Bridge and the Darnytskyi Railway Bridge. During the air alert, only one lane will be closed on these bridges in the direction from the left to the right bank.
So, without restrictions, transport will move:
Northern Bridge;
Metro Bridge;
Ye. O. Paton Bridge;
Darnytskyi Railway Bridge (except for one lane);
Podilskyi Bridge (except for one lane);
Southern Bridge - from the left to the right bank.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Klitschko previously announced the partial opening of traffic on the Southern Bridge in Kyiv. Klitschko noted that additional decisions of the military, with whom consultations are ongoing, are required for the full opening of traffic, and after that the relevant decision must be made by the city's Defense Council.
