On March 6, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy signed an important agreement with the People's Republic of China on the supply of wild-caught aquatic products (fish and seafood caught in natural water bodies) and peas to the Chinese market.
This is stated in a message from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The launch of Ukrainian agricultural exports to the Chinese market is a strategic step to strengthen the economy and expand the geography of supplies. China is one of the world's largest importers of agricultural products, and opening up new opportunities for Ukrainian producers will allow not only to increase foreign exchange earnings, but also to consolidate Ukraine as a reliable supplier of quality agricultural products on the international market. I am sure that we have laid a solid foundation for expanding cooperation, because the last contract with China was signed 5 years ago. We will continue to work together," emphasized the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Vitalii Koval.
