On the night of Thursday, March 6, russian troops launched two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 112 strike drones over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 68 drones, another 43 drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed about this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of March 6 (from 7 p.m. on March 5), the enemy attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh Oblast (russian federation) and Crimea, and 112 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Shatalovo, Bryansk (all - russian federation) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
"As of 9 a.m., it was confirmed that 68 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types were shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa Regions. 43 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
The Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk Regions were affected by the enemy attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of March 5, the russian army launched three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, one S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and 181 strike drones over Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 115 drones, and another 55 drones were lost in the field.
