Ukrnafta, the largest oil producing company, drilled 10 new wells in 2024 and started drilling 12 more.
This is stated in the company's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In 2024, Ukrnafta drilled 32,000 meters, which is +280% compared to 2023.
The statement says that 10 new wells are successful and have a higher than forecasted flow rate.
Drilling of another 12 wells began in the 4th quarter of 2024 and is currently at various stages of implementation; in total, 30 new wells are planned to be drilled in 2025.
Also in 2024, Ukrnafta:
- acquired the first special permit at the auction;
- reached 91% of the reserve replacement ratio (in 2023 - 64%, before that, over the past five years, the average replacement ratio was only 15%);
- explored 600 square kilometers of 8 fields and areas using 3D seismic;
- drilled a well with a depth of 4,520 meters - it is the deepest facility of Ukrnafta in the past 8 years;
- conducted 340 operations to intensify production; accumulated additional production of 121,000 tons of oil and 111 million cubic meters of gas;
- conducted 69 operations on hydraulic fracturing (HF); accumulated additional production of 66,000 tons of oil and 13 million cubic meters of gas, the success rate of hydraulic fracturing operations is 89%, the average increase in throughput is 9 tons per day;
- carried out three operations with flow-diverting methods - all successful, the accumulated additional production is 4,700 tons of oil.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2024, Ukrnafta the largest oil producing company, increased oil production by 0.6% to 1.418 million tons compared to 2023 (2023 1.410 million tons).
In November 2022, shares of Motor Sich, Ukrnafta, AvtoKrAZ, Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR), and Ukrtatnafta were alienated into state ownership for the period of martial law.
After its end, the assets may be returned to the owners or their value will be reimbursed.
