The dictator of russia vladimir putin has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's approval rating is half that of former Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
Putin said this in an interview with russian propagandists, Meduza reports.
"It doesn't matter what his approval rating is: four percent or whatever. His approval rating is half that of Zaluzhnyi. Zelenskyy has no chance of winning a new election," putin said.
He also said that he allegedly has no intention of destroying Ukrainian statehood, but it is important for him that "Ukraine is not used to threaten Moscow."
Putin called Zelenskyy a "toxic figure for Ukraine" and claimed that he "has driven himself into a dead end by banning negotiations with Russia."
"He is avoiding negotiations, because otherwise we will have to lift martial law and immediately go to elections. We are interested in Zelenskyy remaining in power - he is destroying the regime," putin said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump wrote that Zelenskyy's rating has allegedly fallen to 4%, and therefore Ukraine is demanding elections.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has surpassed other Ukrainian politicians and public figures in terms of trust among the population. He is trusted by 69% of citizens, according to the results of a sociological poll by the Razumkov Center, which was conducted from January 19 to 25, 2024.
The indicator of trust in the president has almost not changed compared to December 2023 (70.7%).
According to the Razumkov Center, 24.5% of respondents do not trust the President, the balance of trust-distrust was 44.5%. The highest level of trust in the President was recorded in February-March 2023 - 84.9%, after which it began to fall.
According to a KIIS poll, as of the first half of February 2025, 57% of Ukrainians trust the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while 37% do not trust him. It is worth noting that the trust/distrust rating is approximately the same in all regions of Ukraine.
