Ukraine will work on a tribunal for the leader of the aggressor country of russia, vladimir putin, and his associates, even after the end of the hot phase of the war.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference following the results of the Support Ukraine summit, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We have said a lot today that we need a just, lasting peace. It is difficult to find justice in this war. This is explained by the steps that russia is taking. And the way the war is being waged, how many people have been killed, thousands are now in prison, children have been kidnapped. That is why we will never forget this, we cannot forget this. And I hope that our partners share this opinion and that they will also never forget and do everything so that those people who started this war, an unprovoked war, all these people are held accountable. And, of course, we will work on the tribunal, even after the hot phase of this war is over," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, European countries fear that the US may withdraw from the international program to prosecute the aggressor country of russia for war crimes against Ukraine.
