Denmark allocates an additional DKK 2 billion (about EUR 268 million) to Ukraine on the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor state of russia.
This is stated on the website of the Danish government.
Thus, according to the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Ukraine should get as strong a position as possible in this regard, Denmark allocates an additional DKK 2 billion to Ukraine.
It is noted that the money will go to ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers and the development of Ukrainian forces of the size of a brigade together with the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltics.
In addition, the Prime Minister will take part in official celebrations on the occasion of the third anniversary together with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
"Denmark's message to Ukrainians is the same as it has been from the very beginning: we will continue our support for as long as necessary. Ukraine is fighting for all of Europe. We must put Ukraine in the strongest possible position. I am proud that Denmark, together with the Nordic and Baltic countries, is a leader in supporting Ukraine. Now we must stand firm. Provide more weapons. Faster. Donate to Ukraine's defense industry. Because we are at a crucial moment. What we do now will be crucial for future generations in Ukraine and Europe," Frederiksen stressed.
This is the Prime Minister's sixth visit to Ukraine since russia's invasion in 2022.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the meantime, the European Union has imposed its 16th package of sanctions against the aggressor country, russia, on the third anniversary of the full-scale war.
