Zelenskyy, along with foreign leaders, honors memory of fallen soldiers on Independence Square

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, along with foreign leaders who arrived in Kyiv on the third anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, honored the memory of fallen soldiers near the People’s Memorial of National Remembrance on Independence Square in Kyiv.

This was announced in a statement from the Office of the President, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The ceremony was attended by: President of Finland Alexander Stubb, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkėvičs, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir, Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, and Minister for European Affairs of France Benjamin Haddad.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with members of the European Parliament, and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal with members of the European Commission also paid tribute to the fallen heroes.

Those present honored the memory of Ukrainians who gave their lives for their homeland with a minute of silence.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy stated at the Support Ukraine summit with the participation of leaders of partner countries and the European Union leadership in Kyiv that 2025 should be the year of the beginning of a real, reliable peace.
