European Commission President and European Council President arrive in Kyiv

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa arrived in Kyiv to mark the third anniversary of the start of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

They announced their visit on X (Twitter).

A few hours before their arrival, António Costa wrote in his post: "Three years ago, at this very moment, russia’s invasion shattered peace in Ukraine and caused tremendous suffering to the Ukrainian people. We have been with you from Day One."

Later, he published a photo from the Kyiv train station, where he can be seen next to Ursula von der Leyen.

“On the 3rd anniversary of russia’s brutal invasion, Europe is in Kyiv. We are in Kyiv today, because Ukraine is Europe. In this fight for survival, it is not only the destiny of Ukraine that is at stake. It’s Europe’s destiny,” Ursula von der Leyen noted.

Recall, von der Leyen met with Kellogg: they talked about military aid to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the UN General Assembly on Monday will consider at least two draft resolutions for the third anniversary of russia’s war against Ukraine - from a group of most democratic countries, including Ukraine, and the American version.
