The head of the Defense Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov believes that it is possible to end the war in 2025, because russia has reasons for this.

"You heard from several speakers that at least the russian federation needs a respite, a ceasefire. It lacks strength. This is one of the reasons. The second is a large financial price for the russian federation," he explained.
At the same time, Budanov called the journalists' question about when this could happen an "interesting question".
"When all parties are ready, they will develop a plan, an algorithm that will be agreed upon, if it is realistic. Then it will happen, it will not happen before. It cannot be done unilaterally," the head of the Defense Intelligence noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 18, the US Department of State announced that the United States and the aggressor country of russia had agreed to begin work on ending the russian federation's war against Ukraine.
On February 17, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine and its partners had made significant progress on the issue of deploying a foreign military contingent in the country.
As a reminder, on February 13, Trump said that he had held "excellent negotiations" with the aggressor country of russia and Ukraine, and that there was a good opportunity to end the war.
