Due to the frosty weather in the Kharkiv Region, drones are not flying, and it is difficult for the occupiers to advance due to the lack of conditions to hide from shelling.
The spokesman for the Kharkiv Operational Tactical Group, Yevhen Romanov, reported this on the air of a telethon.
"There is quite a lot of snow, the frost has hit, it does not allow both our and enemy drones to fly for a long time. It is difficult for the enemy to fight this weather, since he is advancing through the area where he has destroyed any opportunities to hide even for himself," Romanov said.
It is reported that the russian troops are trying to advance using manpower. However, the weather conditions do not allow them to gather in large groups, as this makes them too visible. Romanov emphasized that on clear days without snow and low cloud cover, a gradual increase in artillery shelling and drone attacks is recorded.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 15, a forced evacuation was announced from the city of Kupiansk and three nearby communities.
In October, in the Kharkiv Region, evacuation measures were intensified in the Kupiansk District due to intensive shelling by russian occupation troops.
Russian occupation troops are close to Kupiansk, Kharkiv Region, and are constantly shelling the city with all types of weapons.
