U.S. President Donald Trump agrees that the aggressor country russia is responsible for the attack on Ukraine. However, he believes that moscow allegedly had no reason for such aggression.
Trump said this on the air of the American TV channel Fox News, his words are quoted by CBS News correspondent Jennifer Jacobs.
According to Trump, russia attacked Ukraine. At the same time, he immediately emphasized that it allegedly had no reason to attack.
He added that russia allegedly could have been easily stopped from attacking Ukraine.
The American leader did not specify how this could have been done.
Recall that on Fox News, Trump also stated that he did not consider the presence of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the U.S.-russia talks on Ukraine to be "important".
In addition, Trump called the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Scott Bessent to Ukraine wasted, since Zelenskyy allegedly makes it difficult to conclude agreements.
This is an agreement on U.S. access to half of Ukraine's minerals, which Zelenskyy instructed not to sign, since it did not contain any security guarantees for the country.
Last Tuesday, February 18, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, stated that Ukraine had not rejected the agreement on rare earth minerals.
And Bloomberg published an article stating that Ukraine does not possess reserves of minerals in which Trump is interested. The U.S. is well aware of this.
