Zelenskyy's presence not important in Ukraine talks — Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not have to participate in negotiations to end the russian-Ukrainian war.

According to The Associated Press, Trump made the relevant statement on the American television channel Fox News.

"I don't think it's very important for him to be at the meetings, to be honest. When Zelenskyy said he wasn't invited to the meeting, I mean it wasn't a priority because he was such a bad negotiator," Trump said.

He also once again repeated his thesis that Zelenskyy and former U.S. President Joseph Biden could have prevented the war.

Host Brian Kilmeade said that russian dictator vladimir putin was to blame for the war against Ukraine, but Trump denied it.

"I always get called fake news, but I'm telling you Biden said the wrong things, Zelenskyy said the wrong things, they were attacked by someone much bigger and much more powerful. But Russia could have easily been turned away from this," the U.S. President said.

As the Ukrainian News agency reported, earlier today, February 21, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Trump was very disappointed with Zelenskyy's actions.

The day before, February 20, U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said that Trump's disappointment with Zelenskyy was due to the Ukrainian leader's refusal to sign an agreement on rare earth minerals.
