A significant percentage of the funds transferred to help Ukraine actually went to American politicians. That is why the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he received only half of what was promised.
Elon Musk, the head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), wrote this on his X-account on Thursday, February 20.
Musk responded to a post that spoke about money laundering by representatives of the U.S. Democratic Party and some Republicans.
"A significant percentage of the money “sent to Ukraine” actually ended up benefitting US politicians, the DNC and some Republicans. That’s why Zelensky says he only received half the money," Musk emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to the Financial Times, on February 3, Trump said that he wants to conclude an agreement with Ukraine on the supply of Ukrainian rare earth minerals to the U.S.
On February 4, a source in the Office of the President told the media that a clause on minerals had been added to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's strategic "Victory Plan" specifically for the United States.
Zelenskyy rejected a U.S. offer to transfer about 50% of the rights to Ukrainian rare earth minerals to them, as the agreement did not have clear security guarantees from the United States.
