Propagandists of the aggressor country russia have been instructed to promote "victory" narratives on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
This is stated in a message of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"The propaganda army and special services of the aggressor state Russia, on instructions from the Kremlin, are intensifying efforts to incite distrust among Ukrainian society, destabilize the situation within our state and discredit Ukraine among partner states that provide critical military assistance to our Security and Defense Forces in the fight against the occupiers," it says.
As noted, among the key narratives of hostile information attacks are "The West has betrayed Ukraine", "The opinion of Europeans and Ukrainians does not concern either Moscow or Washington", "The U.S. and Russia have agreed on everything behind Ukraine's back", "The Ukrainian government is illegitimate", "The Ukrainian army is losing at the front", "Corrupt people are stealing billions of dollars of American aid from Ukraine".
"In addition, Russia is preparing to announce a supposed "victory" in the war against Ukraine by the "round date" - February 24, 2025, the third anniversary of the start of the full-scale war. Moreover, the aforementioned plans may also mention "Russia's victory over NATO", since for a long time Moscow propaganda described the war against Ukraine as a war with the Alliance", the intelligence officers added.
In particular, the kremlin leaders instructed the special services of the aggressor state of russia to make maximum use of the new American administration's increased diplomatic efforts to end the russian-Ukrainian war and the bilateral meeting of the U.S. and russian delegations in Saudi Arabia on February 18, 2025, in subversive information and psychological campaigns.
It is emphasized that one of the key goals of the new kremlin methods for russia's propaganda is to cover up the status of an aggressor and war criminal isolated from the civilized world with a cloak-coat, supposedly ready for a peaceful settlement, of the "constructive side of the conflict".
"In this part of the work, the Russian special services attack, in particular, Ukraine's partners in Europe, who do not refuse, but on the contrary - increase support for our state. The Kremlin applies the label of "enemies of peace" to such European governments," the Defense Intelligence said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, believes that Ukraine will be able to achieve a ceasefire in 2025.
