President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, when asked about the sanctions imposed against former President, Verkhovna Rada member and leader of the European Solidarity political force Petro Poroshenko, replied that it is not necessary to subjectify a person, who withdraws funds from the state.
Zelenskyy said this during a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Let the law enforcement agencies tell the story. All this was at the National Security and Defense Council. The Financial Monitoring Service reported all this in detail. An investigation is underway there. And the sanctions were not imposed on Petro Poroshenko. Do not subjectify a person, who withdraws funds from our state. There is a list of people, who were involved in this," he answered the question about the sanctions against Poroshenko.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of February 12, the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against Poroshenko, as well as businessmen Ihor Kolomoiskyi, Hennadii Boholiubov, and Kostiantyn Zhevaho, a former member of the Verkhovna Rada, and a godfather of russian dictator vladimir putin, Viktor Medvedchuk.
