Rada reopens session and immediately closes it

The Verkhovna Rada reopened the session and immediately closed it.

Member of Parliament Sofiia Fedyna (European Solidarity faction), who was broadcasting on her Facebook page, announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The closing of the session was announced by Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

Before the opening of the session, the European Solidarity faction blocked the Rada rostrum, the presidium seat, and the government box with posters reading "Ukraine is not Russia," "No to political repression," "No to dictatorship," "No to authoritarianism," and "Think about victory, not about elections."

The parliamentarians demanded that Stefanchuk say whether he voted at the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) for imposing sanctions on ex-President Petro Poroshenko.

When asked by Stefanchuk whether the faction would allow the meeting to be held, the parliamentarians replied that they would not until their demands were met.

After that, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament announced a break in the plenary session.

During martial law, the parliament session continues continuously, and the announcement of a break is considered the end of the session.
