On the night of February 12, russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones, damaging civilian infrastructure. One person was killed and four others were injured in the shelling in Kyiv, including a child.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the attack, stressing that the Kremlin has no intention of ending the war.
"This russian terror against Ukraine will not stop on its own. Putin is not preparing for peace - he continues to kill Ukrainians and destroy cities. Only strong steps and pressure on russia can stop this terror. Right now, we need unity and support from all our partners in the fight for a just end to this war," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, apartment buildings, office buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged as a result of the night attack. Rescuers and emergency services continue to work on the ground.
