Air defense downed 6 ballistic missiles and 71 UAVs

From the evening of February 11 to the morning of February 12, the russian occupation army attacked with Iskander-M ballistic missiles and launched 123 UAVs over Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 6 ballistic missiles and 71 drones, another 40 were lost in location.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, the enemy struck with Iskander-M ballistic missiles (S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles) at the capital and Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Region. Six launches were carried out from the Briansk Oblast and one from the TOT of Crimea.

In addition, the enemy attacked with 123 Shahed strike UAVs and other types of drones-simulators from the directions: Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare means and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy air attack.

It is indicated that as of 08:30 a.m., the shooting down of six Iskander-M ballistic missiles (S-400 missile defense system) and 71 Shahed strike UAVs (other types of drones) in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv Regions was confirmed.

Also, 40 enemy drones-simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences).

It is noted that the Kyiv Region, Dnipropetrovsk region (Kryvyi Rih), Sumy Region, Poltava Region and Chernihiv Region were affected as a result of the enemy attack.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of February 12, russian troops launched a ballistic strike on Kyiv. Fires and destruction were recorded in several districts of the capital. One person was killed.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out in a non-residential building in one of the districts of the Kyiv Region due to a russian morning massive attack carried out on February 12. 138 rescuers and 45 pieces of equipment are working at the scene.

We will remind that in the evening, russian terrorist troops attacked Kryvyi Rih, as a result of which there is damage to apartment buildings, business facilities and an educational institution.
