Russian officer Konstantin Nagayko, who was blown up in early January, has died, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.
This war criminal was involved in the strike on a cafe in the village of Hroza in the Kharkiv Region in 2023, when 59 Ukrainian civilians were killed.
"War criminal, commander of the battery of the 112th missile brigade division of the Russian Armed Forces (military unit 03333) Captain Konstantin Nagayko, involved in the strikes with ballistic missiles on the territory of Ukraine, in particular, in the killing of 59 Ukrainian civilians in the village of Hroza in the Kharkiv Region, has died," the Defense Intelligence noted.
This russian commander received multiple injuries on January 3 as a result of an explosion in the settlement of Shuya, Ivanovo Oblast, russia, where he was serving in the military.
Intelligence noted that "Russian surgery did not help the war criminal."
"There will be fair retribution for every war crime against the Ukrainian people," the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 5, 2023, the russians struck a cafe-shop in the village of Hroza, Kupiansk District, Kharkiv Region. A memorial service for the deceased soldier was being held there at the time. Later, 59 victims of the strike were identified.
