The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"In January, 66% of Russian equipment was disabled specifically as a result of the work of strike UAVs of various types. In general, during the reporting month, our drones hit or destroyed 7% more targets than in December. The largest share of hits (49%) falls on FPV drones," he said.

He also heard reports on the status of the acquisition of capabilities of the Unmanned Systems Forces units, in particular the reorganisation of regiments into brigades, the increase in the unmanned component in mechanised brigades, as well as on the latest models of electronic warfare systems and their compatibility with UAVs.

Syrskyi also reported that the development of the Concept of the use of a separate brigade of unmanned systems of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and some other organizational elements for the development of the Unmanned Systems Forces is in the final stage.

He paid special attention to the intelligence report on the formation by the enemy of a new type of troops – the troops of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of the russian federation.

"We know about the enemy's intentions and its specific plans, which envisage 210,000 servicemen of the Unmanned Systems Forces in 277 military units and subdivisions by 2030. But in this war, the initiative in the direction of unmanned systems belongs to us," he noted.
