February will be difficult for the Ukrainian army, but the enemy will also have a hard time.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, wrote about this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"February will be difficult for our army, but the enemy will also have a hard time. I have set tasks for the relevant commands and military management bodies. The enemy does not reduce the intensity of its attacks, and it is against this background that our tasks will be fulfilled," he noted.
Syrskyi reported that he held a meeting on the results of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in January. According to him, the situation is difficult, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are giving a worthy rebuff.
"We continue to effectively destroy the enemy's military facilities in order to reduce its strike potential. We are destroying the enemy both on the territory of Ukraine and in russia. Among the priorities are, in particular, the operation in the Kursk Oblast and the destruction of military facilities deep inside the aggressor country," the Commander-in-Chief noted.
He reported that the main efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are focused primarily on holding the borders and preventing the enemy from advancing, strengthening the training of military personnel and increasing the unmanned component.
"We continue to develop the formations and units of the Ground Forces, Airborne Assault Forces, Marine Corps, and Unmanned Systems Forces - by increasing the number of unmanned systems in their composition. On the ground, we are primarily saturating with personnel and equipment those units that are already conducting defense on the front line. At the same time, measures are underway to move and send military personnel from non-combat to combat military units," the Commander-in-Chief reported.
Syrskyi reported that he emphasized the need to improve work in the direction of recruiting and strengthening the psychological resilience of soldiers.
"Measures to adapt newcomers who arrive from training centers should be carried out even before they begin to be involved in performing combat missions. After all, the stability of the army depends on how we prepare and train people," he noted.
Syrskyi also reported that in January the number of units withdrawn to restore combat readiness was slightly increased, and there are corresponding plans for the next period.
The Commander-in-Chief also noted that the reform of the organizational structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is ongoing, and measures have been initiated to transition to a corps structure.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Syrskyi previously reported that the losses of the army of the aggressor country of russia in the Pokrovsk Axis during January amounted to seven thousand people killed.
According to Syrskyi, it is impossible to win a war on defense.
