President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is confident that the operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country russia will play an important role in possible negotiations.
According to Ukrinform, Zelenskyy said this at a press conference following a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
According to him, the operation in the Kursk Oblast was a very important step.
"Tomorrow will be exactly six months since the operation on the Kursk axis. A very important operation. You will see when we reach a diplomatic settlement of the end of the war, what conditions the Russians will have for Ukraine regarding the Kursk axis. This was a very important step," the President said.
Zelenskyy added that russian troops are suffering heavy losses in the Kursk Oblast. In addition, during the operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to hit several important objects of the russian army in the region.
The Head of State expressed confidence that the russians will not be able to oust the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the Kursk Oblast in the near future.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 24, the UK Ministry of Defense reported in its intelligence review that North Korea had lost a third of the soldiers who were sent to the russian federation to help oust the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Kursk Oblast.
