Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that he will soften his position on territorial issues.
This was stated by US President Donald Trump's special envoy to Ukraine and the russian federation, Keith Kellogg.
His words are quoted by Radio Svoboda.
Kellogg stressed that both sides - Ukraine and the aggressor country of russia - will have to make concessions. According to him, this is necessary if the two countries hope to agree on a settlement of the war.
"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already said that he will soften his position on the ground. And [russian president vladimir] putin will also have to soften his positions," Kellogg emphasized.
Trump's special representative noted that the United States is going to, perhaps in the near future, hold talks with all sides: "And this is good for both sides," Kellogg said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump said that his administration plans to hold "meetings and talks" with representatives of Ukraine, russia and "various parties".
On February 1, US President Donald Trump's special envoy to Ukraine and the russian federation, Keith Kellogg, said that the new American leader has a "reliable plan" to end russia's war against Ukraine.
On February 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is closer to peace than ever during these three years of war.
