Zakarpattia furniture factory wants to hire 160 workers from Bangladesh due to labor shortage

The furniture manufacturing company DP Lamella, which has a shortage of personnel, is negotiating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about employing 160 workers from the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

This was announced by the head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, Myroslav Biletskyi, in his Telegram channel.

Biletskyi noted that Zakarpattia is developing and provides decent wages and working conditions. According to him, there are factories and plants that need workers. Currently, the furniture manufacturing company, which has been operating since 2001 and already produces goods for export to Europe, is experiencing a shortage of workers, the head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration explained.

"They take care of their employees here: free lunches, transportation to the workplace within a radius of 50 km, and the average salary is UAH 25,000. 430 people work here, and due to the increase in production capacity, there are 700 jobs at the enterprise. The business, which has created all the conditions, purchased equipment, materials, is in dire need of workers. The enterprise is currently negotiating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about employing 160 people from the People's Republic of Bangladesh under an employment contract," Biletskyi wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March 2024, the Ministry of Social Policy developed a draft Demographic Strategy of Ukraine until 2040.
