Foreign policy committee names "red lines" that Ukraine will not cross in negotiations

Member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and interparliamentary cooperation, Oleksandr Merezhko, noted the main conditions that Ukraine will not go to under any circumstances in the issue of ending the war.

He spoke about them in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.

"There are certain red lines for us. That is, there are things that we cannot agree to under any circumstances. First of all, the territorial integrity of the state. And there is also the issue of our sovereignty from the point of view of international and constitutional law," the MP said.

Merezhko also said that the issue of guarantees is extremely important for Ukraine. In his opinion, there is no better guarantee than joining NATO.

"I don't know if Trump can offer (for me it remains a mystery or an open question) any guarantees better than NATO membership? I don't see it. But this question remains open for Trump himself," he added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Merezhko assures that Trump will not stop aid to Ukraine.
