US President Donald Trump plans to reduce the US contingent in Europe by about 20%. This is almost 20,000 soldiers.

The reduction of the US contingent in Europe will take place as part of a review of US commitments to defend Europe.
Trump plans to ask European countries for contributions to maintain the remaining contingent. According to the US President, "the costs cannot fall solely on the shoulders of American taxpayers."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Donald Trump signed an executive order closing the southern border of the United States to illegal immigrants.
The US resident also threatened to impose "high taxes, tariffs and sanctions" against russia and its allies if it does not stop its invasion of Ukraine.
Trump instructed Special Representative for Ukraine and russia Keith Kellogg to end russian aggression against Ukraine in 100 days, but he intends to personally monitor the negotiations at all stages.
