Zelenskyy and South African President Ramaphosa agree to exchange visits

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa have agreed to exchange visits.

This was announced by the Office of the President, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, it is reported that during the meeting, Zelenskyy spoke about the steps that Ukraine is taking to bring about a just peace, and stressed that on this path, global efforts by all countries that respect the principles of the UN Charter are extremely important.

Zelenskyy noted South Africa's presidency of the G20 this year, and also thanked the country's representatives for the participation in thematic conferences based on the Peace Formula.

The President of Ukraine suggested that South Africa contribute to the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by russia and invited them to join the international coalition.

Separately, during the meeting, they discussed the possibility of South Africa's participation in the treatment and rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian men and women.

"Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Cyril Ramaphosa also instructed the foreign ministers to prepare mutual visits of the leaders," the report says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy has been in Davos (Switzerland) since January 21 to participate in the World Economic Forum. In particular, he called on Europe to increase defense spending and ensure energy independence.
