The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched three missile strikes (five missiles) on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, 72 air strikes, dropping 111 guided aerial bombs (KABs), and used 2,653 kamikaze drones.
On January 20, 152 combat clashes were recorded on the front.
Thus, 3 combat clashes occurred on the Kharkiv axis near Vovchansk.
On the Kupiansk axis, 8 attacks by the occupiers were repelled on the past day near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova and Zahryzove.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attacked 15 times near Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Kopanky, Nevske, Terny and in the direction of Zarichne.
On the Siversk axis, the enemy attacked once on the area of the settlement of Verkhniokamianske.
On the Kramatorsk axis, 9 clashes were recorded in the area of Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Stupochky.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy carried out 17 attacks near Toretsk, Krymske, Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka and Ozarianivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the defenders stopped 73 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Promin, Yelyzavetivka, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly and Yantarne.
On the Novopavlivka axis, 7 assault actions of the enemy were stopped in the area of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka and in the direction of Pryvilne.
On the Dnieper axis, 4 attacks were repelled on the island zone of the Dnieper Delta.
On the Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes over the past day, the enemy did not conduct assault actions.
In the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation over the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 11 attacks by russian invaders; in addition, the enemy carried out 30 air strikes using 41 guided bombs, and also carried out 452 artillery attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.
In total, over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 22 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, 11 command posts, 10 artillery systems, 4 air defense systems, 4 warehouses of military and technical property (ammunition, fuel and lubricants), as well as 9 other important objects of the russian invaders.
The losses of the russian occupiers on January 20 amounted to 1,600 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 19, 189 combat clashes took place on the front, the hottest axis was Pokrovsk, where 89 clashes took place during the day, the enemy also actively attacked on the Toretsk (19 attacks) and Lyman (17 attacks) axes.
