Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen has refuted russian propaganda claims about the alleged death of a Danish instructor during a missile strike by the aggressor country's army on Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Region.
His words were quoted by the press service of the Danish Defense Ministry.
The department reported that information is currently being spread in russian media about the alleged death of a Danish military serviceman who was training Ukrainian military personnel to fly F-16 fighter jets.
"Not a single Danish soldier was killed in Ukraine. This is a false story spread in Russian media, probably to discredit Denmark," Poulsen said.
He called the russian propaganda report a very serious security situation, where false influence campaigns and disinformation are used.
Earlier today, January 20, the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine published a screenshot of a fake message being spread by russian propagandists.
It can be seen that the russians created an account on the X social network or used an existing one to spread the "story" about the death of the Danish instructor.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 17, the occupiers launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih using ballistic missiles. The city's civilian infrastructure came under fire.
Four people were killed as a result of the missile strike. Another 13 people were injured and traumatized.
