Drones may become killers in future – Vyhivskyi

The head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhivskyi, fears that drones may be used for murders in the future.

He said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News agency.

"Unfortunately, yes. And we are also working on the issue of controlling all UAV flights, legislative regulation of this issue. These processes are currently underway in the National Police. We understand that there are many people who know how to use drones and these drones can become tools for committing crimes, including murders," said Vyhivskyi.

He noted that this may become a challenge for the National Police in the future and that is why the police are preparing for this.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the patrol police do not rule out the possibility of a robot policeman appearing in the future, who will assist in patrolling and maintaining public order.

In Ukraine, 1,050 murders were committed last year, and only 9 of them have so far remained unsolved.

The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed agents of the russian FSB who were preparing the assassination of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the Ministry of Defense's Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, using kamikaze drones.
