Waltz voices 3 key issues to end war in Ukraine

Future U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, who will work in the administration of Donald Trump, said that the President-elect has a strong intention to end the war unleashed by russia against Ukraine, writes CBS.

According to Waltz, to end the conflict, it is necessary to resolve three important issues: determine who will participate in the negotiations, find a way to involve the parties in the negotiations and outline the framework of the future agreement.

"This conflict needs to end, and President Trump has been very clear about that and is determined to do it," he emphasized.

Waltz also drew attention to the fact that the war in Ukraine combines methods from the times of World War I with the potential threat of escalation to World War III, in particular due to the involvement of the military forces of North Korea by russia.

" This is World War One trench warfare with literally a meat grinder of people running across these open fields in eastern Ukraine. But with World War Three escalation consequences," said Waltz.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 14, Sybiha said that the allies are not forcing Ukraine to make quick peace with the aggressor country russia.

On January 15, Sybiha stressed that Ukraine will not enter into direct negotiations with russian dictator vladimir putin.
