Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the coming days.
The Czech publication Irozhlas reported this on Thursday, January 16, citing Fico's statement.
The publication writes that Fico gave information about the upcoming meeting with Zelenskyy in response to a journalist's question.
"We are looking for another date, which should be in the coming days," the Slovak Prime Minister said.
Fico did not provide additional details. The publication recalls that earlier the Prime Minister proposed holding a meeting on the resumption of gas transit through Ukraine in Slovakia, then Zelenskyy invited Fico to come to Kyiv on Friday.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 2, 2024, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico visited russia, where he met with russian dictator vladimir putin.
On January 13, Fico proposed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to meet to discuss Kyiv's suspension of russian natural gas transit to Europe.
On January 13, Zelenskyy responded to Fico's proposal to meet and discuss the issue of stopping gas transit from the aggressor country russia.
