In 2024, UkrGasVydobuvannya, a member of the Naftogaz Group, increased commercial gas production by 5.3%, or 0.7 billion cubic meters, to 13.9 billion cubic meters.
This is stated in the group's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In 2024, the company commissioned 83 new wells, of which 60 are production wells and 23 are exploration wells.
The message states that in 2024, 60 wells of the inclined-directional type were drilled, which allow gas to be extracted in hard-to-reach places (in 2023 - 51).
It is noted that during the year the company drilled 370,000 meters, which is 14% more than in 2023 and is the maximum figure in recent years.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Naftogaz plans to produce 15 billion cubic meters of gas in 2024 at the expense of UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta.
In 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 13.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and Ukrnafta increased gas production by 6% to 1.097 billion cubic meters.
