On the afternoon of January 15, Ukraine and russia held another prisoner exchange. Another 25 of our military and civilians returned home.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today, another 25 of our people are returning home, to Ukraine. These are our military and civilians. Among them are the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, as well as our Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson Regions. The guys have serious injuries and illnesses. Each of them will receive all the necessary medical care," he wrote.

Recall that in 2024, 1,358 Ukrainians were returned from russian captivity.
On December 30, Ukraine returned another 189 Ukrainians from russian captivity, including the defenders of Azovstal and Mariupol, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Zmiyinyi Island, and two civilians. Among those returned are those who were captured in the Kursk Oblast.
There is a preliminary agreement with the aggressor country, russia, that prisoner exchanges should become systematic in 2025.
